We've stripped out the friction. From application to your first engagement, our process is clear, fast, and built around you.
You must hold a current Australian practicing certificate in your relevant jurisdiction, have a minimum of 3 years post-admission experience (PAE), and hold (or be eligible to hold) professional indemnity insurance. We welcome solicitors at all career stages — from mid-level practitioners to senior partners seeking a more flexible arrangement.
ConsultingSolicitors operates on a transparent commission model. You agree your rate with the firm, and we deduct a fixed platform fee — disclosed upfront before you accept any engagement. You invoice through our platform, and funds are remitted within standard commercial terms. No hidden deductions, ever.
Both. Our network accommodates full-time consultants seeking a steady pipeline of briefs, and occasional practitioners who want one or two matters per month. You set your availability in your profile and update it at any time — there is no minimum commitment once onboarded.
Consultants are covered under the PI insurance of EAS Legal.
Most consultants receive their first matched brief within 1–2 weeks of completing onboarding, depending on practice area demand and geographic market. High-demand areas (commercial litigation, property, family law) typically see faster placement. You are never obligated to accept a brief.
